Shoe Fair 2011

The Shoe Fair is still going on! It ends on May 27th so still plenty of time. I’ve been there a few times already and I go broke every single time. The selection this year is fabulous. So many types and styles. And the best part, the proceeds benefit Soles4Souls!

Last year, your support and participation led to L$1Million raised for Soles4Souls. This year, organizers hope that your contributions will enable the event to match or exceed the L$1Million mark, allowing people and communities in over 125 countries (including the Pakistan, Haiti, Nepal, Kenya, and Thailand) to gain access to much-needed footwear. Why shoes? The simple answer: try walking barefoot for a day. In some developing countries, children and women in particular have to walk miles for food, clean water, or for medial help. Walking shoeless can lead to debilitating conditions that can severely impact a person’s quality of life and their ability to provide for themselves and their family. This year, from May 14 to 27 you don’t have to walk a mile in someone else’s shoes to make a difference. You just have to turn your appreciation for shoe aesthetics into something more tangible for those in need through your purchases and donations. We all love shoes, and need them. But there are people that need them more than us. So why not get fabulous shoes AND help out at the same time. Happy Shopping!
